The history of Pizzo Greco

The Naturist camp "Pizzo Greco" was borned in 1984 under the proposal of (at that time) leadership of FENAIT; the entreprenurial idea was of three tourism entrepreneurs who already hold a small camp on the Ionian Calabrian Coast, in the province of Crotone: Battaglia Domenico (calabrian), Rosso Sergio and Samarotto Mario Pietro, both of Piemont. The beauty of the place, the wild nature, the beach which is difficult to reach by the public, were the ideal conditions so that the naturism could affirm and its practising could consolidate over the years, with a slow but gradual development. Today, "Pizzo Greco" is a beautiful reality in the landscape of the European naturist tourism, by the number of clients (we have had over 36 000 in 2008), the variety of clients-from USA to Russia, from Norvegia to Australia, with a strong prevalence of EU citizens; from all our national naturist camps, ours is the only one which is overlooking the sea. The possibility which has been given to us of organizing the 32°Naturist Mondial Congress represents a great opportunity to present the naturist world, without prejudices and without preconceptions, and also showing the economic component in terms of relapse and benefits which this kind of tourism (almost unknown in Italy) could bring to our country.
